After a visit by a study abroad representative my freshman year of high school I decided I wanted to spend a semester abroad at some point during my studies. Six years later I studied abroad in France through the Davidson in France program. I spent a month in Paris and three months in Tours, a city in the Loire Valley, taking intensive language and French culture classes.
While abroad I was able to engage my passion for photography. As part of the Davidson in France program there were several trips throughout the semester, and I had a DSLR with me to photograph them.
To further my French education, I am pursuing a minor in French & Francophone Studies. I believe that this minor, when combined with my political science major, will provide me with plenty of opportunities at the intersection of those two fields. For example, I wrote my capstone paper for my political science major on French electoral reform and used both English and French sources.
